Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has announced the official launch date for its upcoming Lava Agni 2 smartphone, which is set to be May 16. The company made the announcement on its Twitter account, revealing that the device will only be available for purchase on Amazon. The launch event will be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook at 12 PM local time.

The tweet also provided a glimpse of the smartphone’s camera, which features four sensors and a flash, each housed in their own circular mini-islands. The text around the edges of the main island confirmed that the main camera boasts a 50 MP resolution with a 1/1.55″ sensor size and an f/1.88 aperture.
Previously leaked specs for the Agni 2 include an AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and Android 13 operating system. The Agni 2 will also be the first smartphone to launch in India with the new MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. It has been rumored to cost INR 19,999.
